With great joy we hereby announce the first edition of
FILMEDITORS.ORG, the international version of the
successful
FILMEDITORS.NL,
in association with the
Binger Filmlab,
as announced at the Nederlands Film Festival 2006.
Sam Pollard,
best known as a frequent collaborator of
Spike Lee,
edited many of his feature films, including
Jungle Fever,
Girl 6
and
Bamboozled
as well as the prize-winning documentaries
4 Little Girls
(nominated for an Oscar and an Emmy Award) and more
recently
When the Levees Broke,
which he also produced, will come and speak about his work
for a select audience of film professionals.
This event will take place in the screening room of the
Binger Filmlab, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 4-10 in Amsterdam,
on
Sunday, the 11th of March 2007,
from
16h00-18h30.
Afterwards we can gather for drinks in the foyer of the
Binger Filmlab until 20h00.
The session will be aimed at professional film editors and
students with a specific interest in film editing. The
entrance fee is EUR 25,-. A
limited number
of tickets is available, application is required.
